Renowned Technology CEOs To Deliver Keynote Addresses at Wireless Data Industry's Premier Event

WOODBRIDGE, NJ - December 11, 2000 - Renowned high-tech industry executives Guy Kawasaki of Garage.com and Carl Yankowski of Palm, Inc., will headline BellSouth Wireless Data's WAVE 2001 (Wireless Alliances and Vision Exchange) conference, one of the wireless data industry's most anticipated annual events. The conference, which will feature its strongest line-up of industry leading speakers and sponsors ever, will be held May 14-16, 2001, with optional developer workshops on May 17, at The Aladdin Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.
An internationally recognized entrepreneur and speaker, Kawasaki, will deliver a keynote address on Tuesday, May 15, to kick-off the conference. Prior to joining Garage.com, a venture capital investment bank that has helped more than 60 high tech companies raise over $200 million in equity financing, Kawasaki served as the Chief Evangelist of Apple Computer. He is also a featured columnist for Forbes Magazine and has authored seven books including "How to Drive Your Competition Crazy" and "Rules for Revolutionaries."
Yankowski, who has a highly successful track record at the senior executive level, will keynote on Wednesday, May 16. As CEO of Palm, Inc., Yankowski is building on Palm's worldwide leadership in the handheld computing market, including creating new markets, extending the company's existing business, ensuring operational excellence and creating continued brand value. He has over 25 years of marketing and technical expertise gained through prominent executive positions with such leading companies as Sony Electronics, Inc., where he helped grow annual revenues from $6 billion to more than $10 billion and The Reebok Brand.
